Onderwerp: Tips about boats like Kalik 30

Hi.

Our plan is to buy a boat in next summer. And we have being thinking about bringin it from Netherlands or from Germany to Finland, because there is much more boats to choose for and boats are much cheaper there than in Finland.

The problem is that it's very difficult to fiend information about boats those are not common in Finland. We are looking for a seaworthy and good sailing boat size about 30ft and prise about 20 - 25 000 ¤. One boat that we have considered is Kalik 30, has anyone information about that? And has anyone some other tips about which boat could be good?

thank you for finding your way to Zeilersforum.nl and asking your question here. I'm afraid though that we can't give you a good advise as we do not know what you are looking for in a boat.

You can start searching for available models on www.botenbank.nl ; it is a Dutch site but the menus can be translated to English (top of the page).

the Kalik-30 is a well-designed yacht by a well-known Dutch designer, Jac. de Ridder.
The shipyard(s) that built them however could not always be relied on to constructionally build these boats strong enough.
So you should be well aware of any construction problems. A professional surveyor could be of good use here.

Other boats in the same size: Spirit 29 (rare), Dehlers, Etaps, Victoire, a lot of French boats (Jeanneau, Gibsea, Dufour, beneteau). Even Bavaria!

Why not a Finnish beauty like the Jonmeri 33?

In addition: have a look at the Contest 30, 31 and 33... Nice, sturdy, heavlily build and seaworthy boats.

How about another typical Dutch design, the Pion.

It is a well designed, very well sailing boat with it's own (national) one design class rule. (In the case you're ever interested in regatta sailing
)
