***I’m looking for a used sailing boat***
I'm Belgian, I understand dutch, but it is easier for me to type in english (sorry for that !).
I’m 43 years and I discovered sailing a bit by chance, it was in 2017. I was staying on a boat (Airbnb) in Sardinia and I met a couple who had been sailing for two years. I felt that one day I would go on such a trip!
. Since then I’m training and sailing when possible.
I’m eyeing on used sail boat. There are so many boats for sale that I don’t really know where to look at! I had to chance to sail on Jeanneau Sun Fizz, Bavaria Cruiser 41, heavily used Pogo and Gibsea 43 and on a Feeling 326.
Criteria:
-Headroom: I’m 1m87, so I need enough headroom !
-Size: min. 34 to 39 feet max (to avoid high maintenance and port fees)
-Cabins: 2
-Interior: bright / airy interior (interior of feeling 326 is great but too small for me)
-Comfort: I prefer an old comfy and strong car over the brand new sport car.
-Maintenance: low (keep it simple)
-Budget: < 45K euro or even 35K euro
Multiple-year program:
-Start “slowly slowly” from the dutch coast or anywhere where the boat is.
-With periods of one week to 10 days, sail North. And once in Norway, sail South.
-Once in South, spend time in Med before heading to Tenerife, Cabo Verde, etc.
I’m able to do all this as I may work away (freelance) and I’ve no kids.
Some people advised to look at Ginn Fizz (not sure if there is enough headroom), Sun Rise 34, Hallberg Rassy 352 (budget is high), Sadler Startlight 35, etc, etc, etc. I’m looking forward you’re your advises.
Big thank you in advance, Dimitri
