If there is no other way, I guess the €75 do not seem excessively expensive for 2 years (they charge less for the renovation after that) since going to The Netherlands in person would cost me more than that...

Just a small story from Spain, here in the harbour of Torrevieja, I spoke quit some boat owners who did there registration true www.dutchyachtregistration.com for only € 299,00 they arranged there registration for the Dutch Flag. Seems a fair price, you can't do it yourself if your not from Holland. Within 5 days they had there paperwork on the dock. Lets be honest everything with watersport or boating is more expensive then on shore.

I am also in a Marina in Torrevieja. This summer I saw a lot of boats with a Spanish owner with a Dutch or Belgium flag, with the Belgium flag as majority. So maybe a registration in Belgium is even more easy as a registration in The Netherlands.
