Onderwerp: Where to buy balsa core

does anyone know where to buy core materials?

balsa, foam anything will do as long as its that stuff that comes on a mat and has those little squares so it can be shaped,

I'm using it to strengthen a rudder mold.

Google tells me Baltek can be aquired from Euroresins in Veenendaal and MCtechnics in Visé (just accross the border in Belgium)
This is the core material Innovation Yachts uses in their projects.

I would avoid balso below the waterline as much as possible.

As an alternative you can also laminate some stiffeners on with a pvc tube or wooden batten (or ply) as a core. Or even cheap insulation foam will do for that purpose (if not affected by styreen)
