Hello! I was sent to this website from reddit, I was told this would be a good place to continue my search. My grandfather built this sailboat in the 1980s, sailed all around north and south America and sold roughly around the early 2000s.
From what my Grandmother remembers is that it was sold in Florida and then was shipped to somewhere in Holland.
It will be 5 years anniversary of his passing this September (1927-2020), so I wanted to attempt to find it in hopes the current owner can send us a photo if it.
Details I do know : Its 55'(16.5m), Named the HoneyBee, was originally built and registered in Lake Charles, Louisiana. With the help of other I was able to figure out the model is a "Bruce Roberts 54 ketch". It has some notable features such as the 3 windows near the back and the low "dodger"
Any help is appreciated! even if its just pointing out more identifiable things I may be able to use in my search!
