Mocht je het in het water willen doen, dan is er de volgende waarschuwing op

On the 26 there is a stop bolt at the rear edge of the keel. If you lower the keel all the way down it will hit the stop bolt. At that point you could remove the mast tabernacle. One word of warning though. My boat had NO maintenance of the keel for 25 years. The protrusion that the keel stop bolt hits was nearly gone, rusted away. The slide block on the rear end of the keel was no longer attached by bolts, the cast iron where the two bolts were was just craters. I ultimately cut away this section and brazed in a new block of cast iron, and tapped that. So you could have the keel fall off. However if this happens in your slip, at least it won't be lost!
If you decide to remove the keel you must be careful to move the hull forward as it is raised or you risk breaking the tabs off the keel. The yard broke mine off, but I was there as they did it, so I really can't blame them. I brazed new cast iron pieces in to replace the tabs.
Without the keel providing support for the hull on land you have to be very careful where to place the supports, and you want a lot of them. I found that the hull is well supported at the front of the engine where the engine bearers are glassed in. Also a main support should go right at the forward edge of the keel truck opening.
