Ik ben altijd erg bezig met mooi schiemanswerk al neem ik er niet altijd voldoende tijd voor. Een Italiaan die er wel veel tijd in steekt zie je hier, Op zijn interessante blog

Ciao aka, welcome to this forum! Yes, I saw your beautiful yacht as being duct design and build. I'm impressed with your rope work! "Schiemanswerk" is the old Dutch word for rope work.

i really enjoy Schiemanswerk alot,and yes Christiaan i will do all the rigging as well as the rest of the boat myself ,just like i did with my previous boat a Garcia 46 alluminium hull.
i purchased the hull and deck by K&M in Makkum to be finshed here in Italy
As you probabli nociced also my mast has been beautiful built in Holland

Hi Aka,

I had already seen your ropework on your blog before and like it a lot. I do a lot of ropework myself and I would very much like to replicated your work. Do you have any pictures for us to replicate your work?
And also, is the loop/knot safe to use when it is not under tension?

glad to hear you too like ropeworks alot,on the blog i posted quite alot of pics of Schiemanswerk ,also in the older post the ''just for fun,,you can see some older works,,of course you can use them to replicate,but if you need more please let me know.
Regarding the parallel core loops knot ,i will say it is safe under no load as far as is correctly made ,i whip the bitter ends;when i make loops with braided core i splice and stich

This is really great 'Italian design' ropework AKA. It would be nice if you had some instruction video's or so and put them on YouTube. I'm sure you will have a lot of interest from all over the world.

Just recently bought a set of needles and thingys for some splicing but no luck so far. My hat is off to you, sir!
